Privacy Policy

The short version

• We collect the minimum we need to run our products, and nothing more.
• We never sell personal data. No ad networks, no data brokers.
• Segan Bark turns your voice into text on your own Mac — audio is never uploaded for transcription.
• Segan AI Agent processes Facebook Page messages so it can reply and capture orders for the shop you're talking to.
• You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see Data deletion.

Who we are

Studio Segan ("we", "us") is a design-led AI and automation studio. This policy covers our website (studiosegan.com) and our products Segan AI Agent and Segan Bark. Questions or requests: noah@studiosegan.com.

The website

studiosegan.com is a static site. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking on it.

• Local preferences. If you switch the Segan AI Agent page to Bangla, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage — on your device, never sent to us.
• Server logs. Our hosting keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and reliability. They are not used to profile you.
• Third-party requests. Fonts and animation scripts load from Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser requests those files directly, which shares your IP address with those providers under their own privacy policies.
• Email links. Our contact buttons open your own email app or a Calendly booking page. Anything you send us there is handled under this policy.

Segan AI Agent (Facebook Pages & Messenger)

Segan AI Agent is an AI salesperson that a shop owner connects to their own Facebook Page. It replies to buyers in Messenger, answers product questions, handles bargaining within limits the owner sets, and captures Cash-on-Delivery orders. When you chat with a Page that uses the agent, this is what happens:

What we receive

• Conversation content — the messages you send the Page, including any photos or voice notes you choose to attach.
• Basic platform info — the sender ID Meta assigns for that Page and the public name on your profile, provided through Meta's Messenger Platform.
• Order details you volunteer — if you place an order: your name, delivery address, phone number, and the items you chose.
• The shop's catalog — product names, prices, and stock read from the merchant's own website. This is the shop's data, not yours.

How we use it

• To generate replies and complete the conversation you started with the shop.
• To record confirmed orders and send them to the shop owner (they receive order details and can review chats through WhatsApp notifications we send them).
• To let the shop owner audit what the agent said on their Page.
• Message text is processed by established AI model providers solely to draft the reply. We do not use your conversations to train our own models, and we do not sell them.

Retention & sharing

Conversation and order records are kept while the shop uses the service so the owner can fulfil orders and review the agent's work, then deleted when no longer needed. We share buyer data only with the shop you contacted and the service providers that run the system (hosting, AI processing) — never with advertisers or data brokers. The agent operates on Meta's platform, so Meta's own Privacy Policy also applies to your use of Facebook and Messenger.

Data deletion (Segan AI Agent)

You can have your data deleted at any time — whether you're a buyer who chatted with a Page or a shop owner leaving the service:

• Email noah@studiosegan.com with the subject "Data deletion request".
• Tell us the Facebook Page name you interacted with, plus the name you used in the chat or the phone number on your order, so we can find your records.
• We will delete your conversation and order records within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Shop owners can also request full removal of their Page connection, catalog data, and order history the same way.

Segan Bark (macOS app)

• Transcription is on-device. Turning your speech into words happens entirely on your Mac. Your audio is never uploaded to be transcribed.
• Cleanup is the only cloud step — and it's optional. If you enable AI cleanup, the transcribed text (not audio) is sent to a cloud AI model to be polished. Switch it off and Segan Bark never phones home.
• Your history stays local. Dictation history is stored on your machine, searchable by you, deletable by you. We can't see it.
• No account needed. The free tier runs without sign-up, so there is no profile of you to keep.

Security

Data we do hold lives on access-controlled servers, and we keep the set of people and systems that can touch it as small as possible. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we design so that the most sensitive thing — your voice, your inbox, your storefront — stays in your hands to begin with.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email noah@studiosegan.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the UK/EU under GDPR), these rights are backed by law, and you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to how a product handles data will be called out on the product page too.
